We have a strong teamwork structure within Carter & Carter, where every person’s hard work and creativity contributes to the end result. We expect our organization to remain versatile within the rapidly changing and dynamic environment of construction. These policies and procedures are intended to reflect our philosophy of adaptability and flexibility. We expect each of our employees to be equally flexible and willing to contribute their talents to reach our desired goals.
This manual provides a general understanding of our personnel policies and employees are encouraged to familiarize themselves with the contents. It will answer many common questions concerning employment with our organization. However, since this manual cannot anticipate every situation, the implementation and maintenance of these policies lies with the officers, and their assistants, of the company.
These policies and procedures are solely the policies of Carter & Carter, effective September 1, 2008. The policies supersede all previous policies, written or verbal, that may have been represented, agreed to, or in force prior to this date. The Company reserves the right to add, delete, or modify provisions of this Handbook, at any time, in its sole discretion, with or without notice. Please note, however, that the “at-will policy” can be changed only by written agreement signed by the President. No supervisor, executive, employee or agent of the company has authority to alter these policies, unless done so in writing and signed by the President, the Construction Coordinator and the employee.
Employment with this organization does not involve an employment contract and does not create contractual obligations of any kind. Statements contained in policies, handbooks, and other company materials do not create any guarantee of employment nor contractual rights, expressed or implied. Your employment is at–will, which means that you are free to resign at any time, for any or no reason, with or without notice or cause and that the Company may terminate your employment at any time, for any or no reason, with or without notice or cause. Your at-will status can be changed only by a written agreement signed by the President. No employee has the authority to enter into any agreement, oral, written or otherwise, which alters the at-will policy.
