ACCESS TO PERSONNEL FILES:
Personnel files are the property of the employer, and access to the information they contain is restricted. Generally, only officials and representatives of the employer who have a legitimate reason to review information in a file are allowed to do so. With reasonable advance notice an employee may review material in his or her file, in the employer’s offices and in the presence of the Construction Coordinator or supervisor.
EMPLOYMENT APPLICATIONS:
The employer relies upon the accuracy of information contained in the employment application, as well as the accuracy of other data presented throughout the hiring process and employment. Any misrepresentation, falsifications, or material omissions in any of this information or data may result in termination of employment.
EMPLOYMENT REFERENCE CHECKS:
To ensure that individuals who join the organization are well qualified and have a strong potential to be productive and successful, it is the policy of Carter & Carter to check the employment reference(s) of all applicants.
Carter & Carter will only respond to written employee reference requests. Responses to such inquiries will be limited to factual information that can be substantiated by the organization’s records.
PERSONNEL DATA CHANGES:
It is the responsibility of each employee to promptly notify the Construction Coordinator of any changes in personnel data. Mailing addresses, telephone numbers, number and names of dependents, emergency contacts, educational accomplishments, and other such updates should be accurate and current at all times.
