1. Compressed air can be extremely dangerous if allowed to penetrate the skin. Careless use of compressed air may also cause unnecessary dust and airborne particulates to be introduced into the work area atmospheres, thereby increasing risk of health danger to employees.
  2. Compressed air used for cleaning purposes may not exceed 30 psi and then only in conjunction with effective chip guarding and personnel protective equipment that is designed for that application. Exceptions to 30 psi are allowed only for concrete form, mill scale, and similar cleaning operations.
  3. The use of compressed air to clean off yourself or other workers is strictly prohibited.
