POLICY: Pre-Pour Concrete Slab Controls

PURPOSE: To ensure concrete slab and its integrated components are installed in accordance with the contract documents.

RESPONSIBILITY: The Superintendent

PROCEDURE:

Prior to each concrete pour taking place, the Superintendent or Assistant Superintendent delegated to concrete scope of work, shall utilize the following quality control measure to ensure each concrete slab and its integrated components are installed correctly:

  1. Review submittals, shop drawings and confirm AHJ quality control requirements (ex. form surveys, compaction tests, 3rd party inspections, etc).
  2. C&C will spot check MEP stub ups, anchor bolt locations, etc to ensure general compliance with the contract documents.
  3. If required by AHJ, ensure elevation survey is performed after completion of footing excavation, underground rough in, and form work to confirm correct elevation is achieved.
  4. Prior to each concrete pour, all pertinent parties will sign off on the C&C pre-pour inspection form to confirm that the tasks identified above have been completed.
